Giant Slip and Slide

We have discovered a cheap and wonderful way to spend a Saturday afternoon. The GIANT SLIP AND SLIDE! We picked up a 60ft length of vapor barrier and put it down the hill in Bill and Janet's yard sprayed water down it and threw the kids down the hill. Jack and Olivia love it. Charlie points other people in the right direction but refuses to have anything to do with the slide.

Jack loves having a cat, he and Sally had cuddles tonight before bed time.

Thunderstorms and Rainbows

We have had a few pretty crazy thunderstorms this year and last week a beautifully bright rainbow followed the biggest of the season.

Charlie's Quilt

I am a quilter! Not really, I just made a quilt, here are some pictures of my first attempt at quilting. It was an enjoyable project and I now have 2 more underway and will post pictures upon completion.

Sally the Cat

After seeing Jack fearful of all the animals at the farm and finally settle down with the kittens we decided that a cat needed to be added to our house. Being a house with two small boys we decided that a kitten was not the way to go, we figured a kitten would stand a good chance of being crushed.

We met Sally yesterday afternoon at the Winnipeg Humane Society and fell in love. She is turning 1 soon and is quite a small cat who likes kids. She is quite patient with them and runs to hide when she has had enough. Jack and Charlie both love her to bits.

Jack fell in love with a beautiful kitten, he really wanted to take him home and name him buzz.

Our trip to the Farm

We went to a fabulous farm for Canada Day and got to see and play with the animals. Julie and Kaitie joined us and we all had a great time. The kids got to feed a cow, go on pony rides, pet kittens, puppies, bunnies, chicks, goats and even go on a hay ride.

It took some coaxing but Jack rode a pony and liked it.
